Alaska SBIR/STTR Matching Grant Program
Alaska Division of Community and Regional Affairs, Department of Commerce
Up to $25K (Ph I) / $100K (Ph II)
Alaska doubles down on your federal SBIR award
Alaska supplements federal SBIR and STTR awards with state matching grants of up to $25,000 for Phase I and up to $100,000 for Phase II — giving Alaska innovators extra runway to commercialize their technology. At least 51% of activities must be conducted in Alaska. A lifetime limit of five awards applies per business. FY2025 funded $125,000 total, meaning roughly 2–5 companies are funded per year. Applications close annually in May.
