GrantCompass US in ChatGPT and Claude
Ask ChatGPT or Claude about funding for a US small business and GrantCompass US can answer from our catalog of 700+ federal, state, local and private programs. It is free, needs no account, and only reads public program information.
What it can do
- Find programs — “Find grants for my women-owned bakery in Ohio” or “How can I pay for equipment for my salon?” returns a short list with amounts, whether each program is open now, and a link to its page.
- Check basic eligibility — “Am I eligible for the Amber Grant? I’m a sole proprietor in Texas.” checks location, organization type, ownership, size and industry, says which you meet, and asks for anything missing.
- Explain one program — “Tell me about the SBA 7(a) loan program.”
What it doesn’t do
It checks basic requirements only — every program has more specific rules on its page — so a likely fit is never a guarantee. It does not cover scholarships, student aid, personal loans, benefits for individuals, academic research grants, or programs outside the United States (for Canada, see GrantCompass Canada). It does not apply for you.
