How to apply
-
1
Select qualifying equipment or contact FPL for custom projects
Review FPL's business programs page at fpl.com/business/save/programs.html to identify applicable rebate programs. For prescriptive rebates (lighting, HVAC, VFDs), select qualifying equipment from published eligible models. For custom or large projects, contact your FPL customer representative or call 1-800-375-2434.
-
2
Get FPL pre-approval for customized incentive projects
For the Customized Incentives program, submit a project proposal to FPL before installation. FPL evaluates the proposal for eligibility and issues an incentive commitment. Do not start work until pre-approved.
-
3
Purchase and install qualifying equipment
Install qualifying equipment. Retain invoices, equipment model information, and contractor documentation.
-
4
Submit rebate application
Apply through fpl.com/business/save/programs.html or via your FPL account representative. For prescriptive programs, submit proof of purchase and equipment specifications. FPL reviews and issues payment.
The 25 kW summer peak demand minimum for customized incentives screens out small projects — use it strategically on larger HVAC, chiller, or process cooling upgrades where summer demand reduction is naturally highest.
Deadline & timing
FPL programs run continuously without published annual deadlines. Customers affected by January 2025 Southern California wildfires may submit rebate applications through December 31, 2026 (extended deadline for affected businesses). Customized incentive projects require prior FPL approval before installation.
