Apply on tartecosmetics.com during the 2-week open window
Complete the online application with: business description, Black female ownership documentation, business goals, and how grant funds will be used. Window historically open for approximately 2 weeks.

Selection process (4–6 weeks post-close)
Tarte's team reviews applications and selects 21 recipients (6 × $25K and 15 × $10K based on 2024 structure). Recipients are typically announced in late August or September, aligned with National Black Business Month programming.

Receive grant and begin mentorship
Selected recipients receive their grant amount and are enrolled in executive mentorship with Tarte's leadership team across finance, legal, supply chain, PR, social media, and marketing. Access to Tarte Labs (NYC content creation and studio space) is provided to all recipients.
Window is typically only 2 weeks in August — have your business documentation and narrative ready before August 1. The mentorship with Tarte executives is as valuable as the cash for CPG, retail, and beauty founders.
