How to apply
-
1
Select qualifying equipment
Download PG&E's Business Rebate Catalog (available at pge.com/rebates) to identify eligible equipment and confirm rebate amounts for your specific upgrades. HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, pipe insulation, and industrial equipment are covered.
-
2
Purchase and install equipment
Have qualified contractors install the eligible equipment. Retain all invoices, equipment model numbers, and installation documentation. Equipment must meet minimum efficiency specifications published in the catalog.
-
3
Submit rebate application online
Apply through energyinsight.pge.com/eRebateApplication. Upload invoices, equipment specifications, and contractor information. Applications must be submitted within 180 days of installation.
-
4
Verification and payment
PG&E reviews application (typically 6-8 weeks). May request additional documentation. Approved rebates are paid via check or direct deposit to the account holder. Large projects may include a site inspection.
For large industrial projects, engage PG&E's Industrial System Optimization Program (via Cascade Energy) BEFORE purchasing equipment — pre-approval secures higher custom rebates than post-purchase prescriptive rates.
Deadline & timing
Program runs 'from January 1, 2016 till further notice' with funding distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Funding can be depleted before year end in high-demand categories. Apply immediately after equipment installation.
