$10K for restaurant changemakers
The Toast Changemakers Program is an annual grant program from Toast.org, the social impact arm of restaurant technology company Toast, that awards $10,000 grants to independent restaurants and food-service businesses working to fight food insecurity in their communities. It launched in September 2025 as part of Toast's $5 million, five-year global commitment to combating hunger. The first cycle awarded $150,000 across 15 restaurants that already run community meals, food donations, or food-bank partnerships. Applications are administered through Hello Alice, and Toast has stated the program will run a second call for applications in late 2026. Open to independent restaurants across the 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico.

This grant rewards proof, not promises — applicants who can quantify their existing hunger-relief work (meals served, pounds of food donated, named food-bank partners) stand out. The first cycle drew over 800 applications for 15 grants, so concrete numbers and a clear local impact story are what separate winners.
Deadline & timing
Inaugural cycle ran in fall 2025 (applications closed; recipients announced November 2025). Toast has stated it will kick off a second call for applications in late 2026. Confirm the active round on Hello Alice.
