Who qualifies

Develop tourism marketing project plan
Create a marketing plan with a clear focus on attracting out-of-state visitors to Iowa. Define target audiences, marketing channels, timeline, and budget (grant request + 20% cash match). Quantify projected visitor reach.

Submit application during August–September 2026 window
Complete the online application during the application window. Include: project description, marketing plan, itemized budget, cash match documentation, and entity information. Applications submitted outside the window are rejected.

Receive award notification and implement project
All applicants notified in December 2026. Upon award, execute the approved marketing initiative and maintain receipts. Submit a final report with actual expenditures and results.
